Getting to know each other. 

It all starts with a conversation. The best way for us to get to know you is by talking about your company, its culture, personalities, successes, and even possible defeats. We need to know things we can’t read on your website. Because our goal is to provide you with talent that fits in skill and culture, this first conversation is critical. We need to know why a happy, successful candidate would leave their current situation for you. We need to understand your story and what sets you apart from your competitors. We are an extension of you in the marketplace, so we must know what you know to effectively share your story with the type of professionals you want on your team. And if you don’t know exactly what you need, we can advise you based on our 50 years of industry experience and even help you create position descriptions, consult on organizational structure, and set hiring budgets.

Putting our plan together.

We don’t have a “one-size-fits-all” model. Our recruiting plan depends on all the things we discuss that are important to you. Budget and timing are always considerations, and at this point, we can sketch out expectations for the search, discuss target companies, or companies you want us to stay away from, plan the interview process, and schedule status updates as we work through your unique search.

Finding the right candidate. 

The candidates you want aren’t looking for jobs. They haven’t posted their resumes on every online job board. They are adding value to your competitor’s company, and they’re doing it well. Those people don’t respond to online ads or mass emails, but because of our reputation in this industry, they answer the phone when we call. After targeting the candidates who meet the criteria you have provided, we have thorough conversations with them to learn what they’re looking for in a new opportunity, what they value in company culture, and what they see themselves doing in the next 5, 10, 20 years. If what they want and what you want align, we’ll share their information with you along with our honest impressions of their strengths, any potential weaknesses, and how well they’d fit in this role and into your organization.

Moving from interviews to offers.

At the final phase, we will coordinate interviews, testing (if required), thorough reference checking, and help craft a winning job offer. We will assist in the negotiation process and help resolve any outstanding objections and concerns to ensure acceptance and a smooth transition. We guide the winning candidate through the resignation process and maintain close contact from the first day of employment and beyond. We follow up with you after the hire to ensure things are going smoothly with your new hire.
