Angie Truitt becomes Managing Director
Every owner treasures hiring someone who cares about their company as much as you do. I absolutely cannot tell you what a gift that is. To have a teammate who is on your side and has the same desires for the company and team as you do is priceless.
I am lucky enough to have teammates like that. Erica Lockwood is one such teammate. I have had the honor to have had Erica Lockwood as a Managing Director who has walked this walk with me for many, many years.
Angie Truitt has been another one of those hires for me.
Angie came to our leadership with a request to become a Managing Director. During our meeting, we saw a presentation like no other. The thought and detail that went into it was worthy of her request. After watching it, Diana said, “She set the bar.”
Like me, Angie has had the privilege to have grown up with absolutely wonderful parents that were very loving, driven, and obviously dedicated. Her parents painted a pathway to what life could be like for her. Angie followed their mentorship and used that support to create her own direction, being who she was and following her beliefs. Now, her beliefs are pretty darn adamant, and that is one of the reasons I appreciate her. Becoming open-minded to other perspectives has become one of her strengths.
She has been nurtured to apply those same core strengths to not only being an amazing mom to her daughter, Mattie, but also a great leader to the company.
Angie cried the first time I interviewed her. Crocodile tears were rolling down her cheeks as she expressed her previous boss did not see her value and did not think she was good enough, didn’t have the talent, actual fight, or persistence to be a good recruiter. Wow, was she wrong! It was obvious to me, with the right care, she would rise. When motivated the right way, Angie is like a shark in the tv show, Shark Tank!
Angie has put her whole heart into Joseph Chris Partners, into those on the team and into those joining the team. She loves developing people with training and encouragement and she is incredibly gifted at sharing process improvement opportunities so that the team has the tools to be successful. She also has an incredibly wonderful heart that supports our culture. Angie wants our company to be a great place to work. Her writing skills have been amazing for our branding and marketing and my direct communication, because Lord knows, that is my weakness. She wants the universe to know who we are as a company, what we are all about, what our gifts will be for them. She believes in us. She believes in my leadership, and she believes in our company.
Joseph Chris is my history, it is my family, and it is who I am. And I am proud to trust that Angie Truitt’s initial instinct is about what is best for the company. I am proud to announce that we are offering and promoting her to Managing Director, receiving equity participation in Joseph Chris.
I do not have children, so my desire is to give back to those who have made a difference in the company that my family established and worked endlessly to grow, and then sell to me.
Please join me in celebrating Angie Truitt, now a Managing Director of Joseph Chris Partners.
